TEDxUTM2020: Inspiring New Ideas

X, often known as an unknown yet to be discovered, viewed by TEDxUTM2020 as boundless prospect to be explored, symbolized by two crossing lines. Those single lines have been pulled to cross each other that metaphorically means people with the same energy and positive purposes will be pulled together and meet one another anytime and anywhere. Although humans are set apart by their own mind and thoughts, TEDxUTM2020 believes that every individual has their unique story to share. This was the message in which TEDxUTM2020 want to convey to the public.

Southern Business Simulation Challenge 2020 Exposed Students to MonsoonSIM Platform

SBSC 2020 was a three-day programme organised by UTM XCITE in collaboration with AHIBS from 1st of March 2020 until 3rd of March 2020. SBSC 2020 used MonsoonSIM, an award-winning business simulation and gamification education platform, as the core basis for the programme. The platform recognised by Enterprise Resources Planning (Business) – SAP and has been used for business education in various universities around the globe since 2013. MonsoonSIM allows educators to change their teaching ways of business concepts and indirectly provide students with early exposure to numerous aspects of business processes.

Hydrological Modelling Workshop & Global Water Security Symposium

The Hydrological Modelling Workshop and Global Water Security Symposium were held in Newcastle University on 20 – 21 January 2020  and 23 – 24 January 2020, respectively. Dr. Zulfaqar Sa’adi was chosen as representative of Malaysia Collaboratory under Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Water Security and Sustainable Development Hub to participate in the workshop and symposium.

Second GCRF Water Security and Sustainable Development Hub Assembly 2020 at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The second Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) Water Security and Sustainable Development Hub Assembly was organised from 24th until 28th February 2020 at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Researchers, along with postdoctorate researchers and postgraduate students from various countries such as India, Colombia, Ethiopia, United Kingdom, and Malaysia had come together to attended this year’s Hub Assembly. Among the participants were Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) team.
