UTM is achieving Zero Unemployability Rates

2020 Southeast Asia (2020 SEA) International Joint-Research and Training Workshop on Environmentally Green Technology and Sustainable Energy was conducted at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, during 4-15 February 2020. This program aimed to initiate and strengthen educational collaboration between Taiwan and various developing countries including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Nepal, Bangladesh and India in the areas of low carbon and green energy.
Under the American Chemical Society (ACS) Global Project SEED Program, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) was chosen as one of the partner universities to host school students. This program aims to nurture junior research mentees by working alongside mentor scientists at the selected research institutions. This program has been managed by ACS Malaysia Chapter in collaboration with Yayasan PETRONAS. Two students from Malay College Kuala Kangsar and Muar High School underwent research attachment at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, UTM for a month, starting from 1st December till 31st December 2019.
Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics (UTMRazak) hosted a fun-filled Reception Hi-Tea for newly registered students to get acclimatized as new members of the UTMRazak vibrant community. In setting up a tradition of hospitality, a BigWelcomeWeekend@UTMRazak was planned as an anchor event to provide opportunities for new students to network with incoming students of diverse programs within the faculty as well as to mingle with both management and academic staff.
The Master of Architecture students and lecturers from Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying, UTM won top prizes for two out of six shortlisted projects in the postgraduate categories from the last final edition of PAM-ZSR Architecture Prize Competition 2019 hosted by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) in collaboration with Z&SR Architecture Ventures Sdn Bhd.
A Job Fair was organized by Sun Asterisk Lte at MJIIT on 29 February as the first trial of “Japanese Language Interview Training and Job Fair” program which required the students to using 100% Japanese language during the interview. The company had made an offer of 1 position with 6 vacancies to the best candidates as a final result of the overall interview.
