Razak Faculty Welcomes Delegates from The University of Salford for Collaborative Ventures

UTM Kuala Lumpur, August 29, 2023 – The Razak Faculty of Technology & Informatics, situated at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Kuala Lumpur, had the pleasure of welcoming a reputable delegation from The University of Salford. The delegation, headed by Dr. Tahir Rashid, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for International Partnership, and accompanied by Dr. Michael Evans, a Salford Business School lecturer, visited to investigate potential academic and research cooperation opportunities between the two institutions.

Representatives from Razak Faculty of Technology & Informatics at the University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) and the University of Salford held a meeting to discuss potential academic and research collaboration opportunities between the two institutions. Leading the delegation was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslina Ibrahim, Deputy Dean (Research, Development & Innovation) of Razak Faculty of Technology & Informatics, UTM. The delegation also included several prominent figures from UTM such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norhayati Abdullah, Associate Director of UTM International and Assoc. Prof. at Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT); Dr. Rafidah Othman, Head of the MBA Program at Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS); and Dr. Nor Fazilah Mohd Hashim, Head of the Construction Quality and Maintenance (CQM) Research Group at Razak Faculty of Technology & Informatics.

 

The two institutions explored possible avenues for academic and research collaboration that could expand their respective horizons and benefit their scholarly communities. The discussions were marked by enthusiasm and a strong desire to foster global academic partnerships. Both parties were genuinely interested in the opportunities that could arise from this collaboration and were tentatively discussing mid to long-term plans for their academic partnership.
