Seven members from the Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn), made an official visit to Faculty of Science within Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru campus. The visit took place on the 2nd of March 2020 and was held at the faculty’s meeting room.
The delegates from iHumEn were Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar (Director of iHumEn), Dr. Syafiqah Saidin (Deputy Director of IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Enginering Centre), Dr. Nor Suriani Sani (Senior Research Officer), En. Azizul Azman (Research Officer), Pn. Shaleena Melisa Syed Noor (Research Officer), En. Muhammad Akmal Ayob (Research Officer), and En. Muhammad Faizrin Mohamad Pauzi (Research Assistant).
Meanwhile, the Faculty of Science was represented by Prof. Dr. Abdull Rahim Mohd Yusoff (Dean, Faculty of Science), Dr. Ezza Syuhada Sazali (Assistant Dean (External & Global Engagements), Dr. Mohd Bakri Bakar (Assistant Dean (Continuing & TNE), Pn, Hjh. Nor Azlinda Abu Bakar (Deputy Registrar), and Dr. Sheela Chandren (HEK Coordinator).
The meeting was initiated by iHumEn on account of Faculty of Science emerged as the winner of ‘Anugerah Penjenamaan 2018’, which was awarded in 2019. Tips and ideas for earning the award were shared during the meeting. Not only that, some discussions on branding, documentation, and the general requirements for the award were also made.
The Faculty of Science warmly welcomes external visitors and even more so from inside of UTM. It is hoped that through this kind of meeting and sharing session, a good relationship between the Faculty of Science with other centres/faculties and institutions in UTM can be maintained.
