JOHOR BAHRU, 30 November 2016 – The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Library Carnival 2016 was held at the  Raja Zarith Sofia Library (PRZS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Among the services provided on that day were the advisory service by Centres of Responsibility (PTJ’s) such as the UTM Library, Department of Valuation and Property Management (JPPH), Ambassador Jauhar, University Ecotourism Information and UTM Institute of Bio-Products Development (IBDUTM).
Visitors could also identify the types of approved and forbidden drugs for medication through the exhibition ‘Know Your Medicine’ which was organized by the Johor Branch Pharmacy Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia.
The Pharmacy Division officers were also involved in K-Sharing Programme where they gave a lecture entitled ‘Know Your Medicine’. The talk was given by Assistant Director of the State Pharmaceutical Division, Raudathun Sa’adiah Ithnin, and assisted by Senior Assistant Director Mr. Hazwan Ali.
Visitors could also buy the books they were interested in the sale of books by Project Books (factory batteries) and Amaniz Mgt Services Sdn Bhd. Food Trucks were also provided for the purpose of selling food and beverages for the convenience of visitors.
The UTM Library Carnival 2016 was officially launched by UTM Chief Librarian, Dr. Hajah Kamariah Nor Mohd. Desa. Also attending the ceremony were Deputy Chief Librarian (Service), Noraziah Sharuddin and Deputy Chief Librarian of PRZS, Nor Asikin Mohamad.
