JOHOR BAHRU, 5 September 2015 – A total of 914 new students of School of Professional and Continuing Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTMSPACE) have signed up to pursue  part time studies under the Bachelor’s Programme, for the 2015/2016 academic session.

UTMSPACE Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd. Azraai Kassim said student enrolled as UTMSPACE students should be committed and focused in ensuring that their dreams and aspirations come true.

“Since the establishment of UTMSPACE in 1993, nearly 15,000 graduates from various fields have graduated through this Part-Time Programme.

“With more than 23 years of operating experience, a total of 18 learning centers have been successfully operated by UTMSPACE all across the country, with more than 7,000 active students in each semester,” he said.

Prof. Azraai said this in his speech at the start of the registration session of  new UTMSPACE students held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar UTM JB Campus.

Prof. Azraai further adds that high  application and enrollment into UTMSPACE indicates that the mode of learning it offers meets the needs and demands of the community.

For the record, a total of 22 former Part-Time UTMSPACE Diploma Programme students have registered to continue their studies at the Bachelor’s level. In appreciation of the loyalty shown by this group, a total of RM100.00 fee rebate has been given.

Also at the ceremony was the Dean of UTMSPACE, Prof. Dr. Fua’ad Mohd Rahmat.
