UTM Hunters Shine at Arima Sports Championship 2024: Both Teams Secure Third Place

MELAKA, Dec 14 – The UTM Hunters once again demonstrated their prowess and determination at the Kejohanan Intervarsiti Kabaddi “Arima Sports Championship 2024,” hosted by the Indian Cultural Society at Multimedia University (MMU), Melaka. Competing against the best kabaddi talent from universities nationwide, the Tigers delivered impressive performances that saw both the men’s and women’s teams proudly clinch third place.

The championship was held in the vibrant and competitive atmosphere of the MMU Melaka, drawing participation from universities across Malaysia. Representing Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), 21 skilled players competed across both the men’s and women’s categories, showcasing the Hunters’ commitment to excellence and teamwork on the kabaddi court.

The UTM Hunters men’s team showed resilience and grit throughout the tournament. Nevertheless, the team regrouped to deliver a commanding performance in the third-place playoff, securing a well-deserved bronze medal.
