Bandar Baru Bangi, 14 December 2023 (Thursday) – The UTM Centre of Hydrogen Energy (CHE) has been invited by TNB Integrated Learning Solutions (TNB ILSAS) to hold its second seminar on raising awareness about hydrogen and carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) technology. This comes after the successful first session held on December 8th, 2023.
The seminar was attended by participants from different departments within the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) circle, including TNB Genco and TNB ILSAS staff. The primary focus of the seminar was the overall picture of hydrogen and CCUS technology’s role in the energy transition phase, particularly in the electricity generation sector.
Expert Speakers
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Tuan Amran Tuan Abdullah, who is the Manager of the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Laboratory and Research Fellow at the Institute of Future Energy (IFE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Dr. Mohd Fadhzir A. Kamaroddin, P.Tech, a Senior Research Officer at IFE, UTM, assisted him during the seminar.
Towards a Sustainable Future
The seminar is part of TNB ILSAS’s initiative to promote awareness and education about sustainable energy technologies. This aligns with the Malaysian government’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, as stated in the Paris Agreement 2015.
