JOHOR BAHRU, 10 December 2023 – In a spectacular display of skill, dedication, and sportsmanship, athletes from the Kolej Tun Hussein Onn (KTHO) have emerged victorious at the UTM Games 2023, held at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Johor Bahru campus from December 1 to December 9.
The event, organized by UTM Sports Excellence (USE), witnessed KTHO athletes clinch two gold, six silver, and 11 bronze medals across various disciplines.
In a triumphant display of teamwork and skill, KTHO’s male volleyball team secured a gold medal with exceptional play on the court.
The Men’s 400m event witnessed a stellar performance from KTHO’s sprinter, who claimed the gold and leaving competitors trailing behind on the track.
In the realm of silver success, KTHO’s female volleyball team exhibited prowess and determination, earning the college a silver medal in a fiercely contested competition.
Individual excellence took center stage in the petanque arena as KTHO’s male athlete clinched a silver medal with skillful play.
On the badminton court, intense rallies unfolded, with KTHO’s female players demonstrating finesse and skill to secure a silver medal.
Athletics saw KTHO athletes dominating the track in multiple events, earning silver medals in Women’s 800m, Women’s 100m, and Men’s 1500m. The bronze brilliance of the KTHO contingent continued to shine, accumulating eleven commendable bronze medals across different disciplines, showcasing their well-rounded capabilities and unwavering determination.
The KTHO athletes’ outstanding achievements reflect their individual talents and the rigorous training and support provided by the KTHO management.
These victories contribute to the rich sporting legacy of KTHO and stand as a testament to the dedication and excellence of the athletes, managers, KTHO Students Representative Council (JKM KTHO) and Merbauan Council of Fellows (MAFAN).
