JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 25 (Bernama) — Johor is expected to continue receiving heavy rainfall until the end of this week following the significant changes in the local weather and the rainfall intensity in several locations.
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Campus Sustainability (UTMCS) director Prof Dr Mohd Fadhil Md Din said the Meteorological Department had also issued an official statement on the Northeast Monsoon, which made the forecast of heavy rainfall possible.
Therefore, he said the people in the state, especially those residing in flood-prone and low-lying areas, have been advised to always be vigilant and to take heed of the authorities’ instructions.
