‘Creating a Future without Borders’
Kuala Lumpur, 27 January 2016 – UTM Kuala Lumpur received guests from Ritsumeikan University, Japan. The delegation was led by Prof. Tsukasa Mayanaka and accompanied by Ms. Kanako Maruyama and Ms. Aki Kimura. The main aim of the visit was to explore opportunities for student exchange programs and study abroad programs specifically short-term programs of approximately 4 weeks (commencing either in February, March or August) and one-semester programs ranging from 14 weeks up to 6 months (commencing April or October).
The meeting also touched on other issues and collaboration opportunities between Ritsumeikan University and UTM, namely, the possibility of offering programs in Arts & Social Sciences, English Proficiency Requirements, Credit Transfer, Japanese Language Studies and Student Logistics.
Ritsumeikan University is also open to the possibility of sending students to the UTM Johor Bahru campus.
UTM is delighted with the interest shown by Ritsumeikan University and believes that the visit would led to further sustainable academic collaborations between the two institutions.
