A PhD student from Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) UTM won big for Five Minutes Video Challenge competition held in conjunction with AIMC 2020. In a 5-minute video presented by her, she elaborated about her research on GRIT and student’s achievement in Science, Technologies, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.

Engineering education researchers around the world had virtually gathered in Engineering Education Research (EER) Big Meet Up on the 14th of May 2020. UTM Centre for Engineering Education (CEE) participation as the co-host as well as Dr. Nor Farawahidah Abdul Rahmans keynote presentation during the event has successfully put UTM in the spotlight as one of the main global players in EER.
UTM experts from Faculty of Science UTM were elected as the committee members for Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (Southern Branch) – IKM(S). The recognition also demonstrated UTM’s continuous commitment towards strengthening Chemistry professional and excellence, especially in the southern region.
AIESEC in Johor Bahru has long stood up to its name for being one of the university’s most active youth societies, constantly creating numerous platforms for leadership development through challenging environments and supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Goals) along the way. Both AIESEC in Johor Bahru and UTM XCITE have a common hope that through this event, youths currently being confined at their own homes are still able to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations that care for the current and global issues. The theme of this year’s Youth Speak Forum – “Heroes of COVID-19” clearly brought out the main aim of this event, which is to inspire youths to start taking action and playing their respective roles in fighting COVID-19, for the sake of this country we call home.
