Language Academy (FSSH) has organised a basic Mandarin course for FSSH staff on 14 and 15 January 2019. The language course was one of Language Academy’s initiatives to empower FSSH staff through language mastery.
The 2-day Basic Mandarin course was conducted by Language Academy’s Mandarin instructor, Mr Zaid Muhammad Shafie. Through this course, students were exposed to basic Mandarin language where Mandarin pronunciation became the focus of the lesson. On top of that, students also learned some basic greetings and conversation starters applicable to daily communications.

The course received good feedback from participants. They enjoyed the lessons and found the skills to be helpful in their professional lives. In two days, participants managed to pronounce Mandarin words correctly as well as to acquire basic Mandarin conversational skills. Hopefully this class can be continued in the future so that more participants can come and join in the fun.
