KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Sept.  – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is appointed as the Lead Host for Asia-Pacific Association for International Education 14th Conference and Exhibition (APAIE) 2019.

The programme will commence from 25 to 29 March 2019 with the theme: Diversity and Inclusivity of Higher Education in the Asia-Pacific.

The President of APAIE, Professor Sarah Todd said, “UTM has put programme that will ensure that you leave APAIE 2019 with a better understanding of the key issues impacting higher education in the Asia-Pacific, and especially those in the ASEAN countries.”

The programme is also co-hosted with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) , Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Management and Science University (MSU), Universiti Teknologi Petronas  (UTP) and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) and is supported by the Ministry Of Education, Malaysia Education Malaysia Global Services and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Myceb).

APAIE was established in Seoul, South Korea in 2004 by a Founding Committee consisting of thirteen university representatives from across the Asia Pacific region, and has since expanded to become a thriving association, and one of its Directors is UTM Pro-Vice Chancellor (International), Professor Dr. Nordin Yahaya.

The APAIE Conference and Exhibition brings together international education policy-makers, practitioners and experts from across the globe to the Asia-Pacific region to network, improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education,  and it is a good opportunity to showcase about organisation and connect with fellow industry experts.
