Kuala Lumpur, 2 May 2018 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) was honored to welcome the Going Global 2018 delegates to UTM Kuala Lumpur.
In conjunction with Going Global 2018 conference which was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), UTM was given the opportunity to host the campus tour to the delegations. Going Global is the world’s largest open education conference held in Kuala Lumpur – the first time the conference was being held in the ASEAN region which were co-hosted by the British Council and Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in 2018.
The delegation, consisted of various background positions from different universities and institutions and countries, was welcomed by YBhg. Prof. Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid Omar; UTM Vice-Chancellor.
The delegation was briefed on Academic matters in a talk delivered by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International); Prof. Dr. Nordin Yahaya, and Research matters by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation); Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail.
The campus tour included a visit to the Wireless Communication Centre (WCC), UTM-Ericsson Innovation Centre for 5G, Malaysian-Japanese International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) and UTMKL Residency.
UTM is looking forward to further enhance the collaboration and networking among institutions so that we are able to gain better insights of best practices for continuous improvement. This can be achieved by working together in more productive and impactful ways to make a difference and reach greater heights.
