JOHOR BAHRU, 18 April 2016 – Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamad delivered a talk on the “Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement” at the UTM Senate Hall, yesterday.
The talk, organized by Persatuan Kakitangan Akademik (PKAUTM) started at 5.45 pm and attracted more than 100 staff and students interested to obtain direct information from the minister  accountable for the implementation of TPPA in the country.
Vice-Chancellor Profesor Datuk Ir Dr Wahid Omar, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) Professor Dato’ Dr Mohd Ismail Abd Aziz, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) Professor Dr Rose Alinda Alias and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Dr Ahmad Fauzi Ismail were amongst UTM senior officers attending the talk.
The talk on TPPA was the first time ever organized by PKAUTM on campus. The aim was to give the campus community a clearer picture of what entails TPPA, and to give them the opportunity to pose questions on TPPA to the minister.
