On 5th April 2022, Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer (PERSAKA), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM JB), organized ‘Unity Workshop’, an online event.
The program was held through Zoom meeting platform and was attended by a total of 111 participants.
The main goal of this event was to introduce students to the concepts of Unity application.
Other than that, this event also aimed to enhance participants to use multiple processes and diverse perspectives to explore other alternative solutions.
Unity is a cross-platform game engine used by many games in the Google Play Store which can help to produce and deliver highly engaging 2D or 3D mobile games.
The speaker for the talk was an alumni of UTM, Mr. Muhammad Ridzwan bin Mohd Azhar.
The event which was held for 2 hours was divided into two sections; workshop and question and answer.
It started at 2 p.m. by first, introducing the speaker, Mr. Muhammad Ridzwan bin Mohd Azhar, to all participants.
At the start of the workshop, Mr. Muhammad Ridzwan began by providing an overview of himself
He then proceeded to introduce Unity software to the participants who joined the event.
He also shared about the current market regarding occupations which used Unity software or how someone can use the software in a good way.
He continued to show some examples of the games which he created in his current company, Cool Code Sdn. Bhd.
He showed a snippet from Didi and Friends’s games collection such as Bunyi Haiwan, Rasa Sayang and many more.
The session continues with a sharing on how to use the Unity software to edit or to make a game.
There are a lot of ways to make the product become more interesting by adding a lot of features such as motion or mass.
At the end, there was a question and answer from the participants regarding the Unity software itself or about the current market of it.
The participants were really curious about a lot of things so they asked many beneficial questions to the speaker.
After the question and answer session ended, Ts. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Tariq bin Idris gave some words of thanks and congratulated the speaker because he was willing to give a talk, also the participants for attending the program and the committee for the successful of the program.
The flow of event was flawless and engaging.
The program ended with a photography session together with the speaker and participants.
