KUALA LUMPUR, 21 Sept. – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) alumni from School of Computing, won two categories in MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Awards (MSC Malaysia APICTA) 2018 – The Best Start Up and The Best ICT Services Solution.
Muhammad Arif bin Tukiman, Amir Fazwan bin Osma and Ahmad Fikrizaman bin Abd Rahim have won the awards through their startup company, RunCloud.io with the projet, RunCloud managing multi-cloud hosting and web deployments.
Muhammad Arif bin Tukiman started small with his team Amir Fazwan bin Osman and Ahmad Fikrizaman bin Abd Rahim during their undergraduate studies and have transformed many of their classes’ projects and also their Final Year projects into applications that are currently being used by many, particularly UTM communities.
During their postgraduate studies in Master of IT Entrepreneurship in UTM, they have established a company by the name of Sejuk Studio or also known as Cool Code (coolcode.my), where they started to seriously venture into many projects.
Due to that, they have won the Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education Entrepreneurial Awards MOHE (MEA) “Best Enterprise Award” in 2015 under the guidance of UTM Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (UTMTEC), currently known as UTM XCITE. Cool Code is also being incubated under the purview of Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MAGICX), UTM.
RunCloud.io is a truly unique SaaS (Software as a Service) that enables administrators to setup, configure, manage and monitor Virtual Private Servers, which focuses mainly on PHP developers and web design freelancers.
Arif is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Amir Fazwan is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) combined with marketing affair while Fikrizaman was made Chief Technology Officer (CTO) due to his unique home brewed technology that has become the foundation for RunCloud.io today.
