JOHOR BAHRU, 12 November 2014 – ‘Ideal’ from of the Faculty of Science and ‘HCD Solution’ of the Human Capital Development Division, Office of the Registrar Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) was named as the Best Group category winner at the UTM 10th Innovative and Creative Convention (ICC).
Ideal won in the technical award category, while HCD Solution won in the management category.
Ideal was also announced as the winner of the Best Performance Award for the technical category while ‘Perintis’ of the Office of the Registrar UTM Kuala Lumpur won the same award under the management category.
A total of 10 participants from various Centers of Responsibility (PTJ) participated in the event organized by the Quality and Risk Management Centre (QRiM). Six groups represented the technical field while another four contested in the area of management.
Ideal and HCD Solution will be representing UTM at the inter university ICC competition that will be held at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in April 2015.
With the victory, both winners of the Best Group category went home with a cash prize of RM2000.00, a trophy and a certificate. The Best Performance Award winners were awarded a cash prize of RM500.00 and a Certificate of Appreciation.
The winners received their prizes from the Registrar of UTM, Wan Zawawi Wan Abdul Rahman at the Banquet Hall, Johor Bahru campus.
Also present was the Deputy Director of Quality (Management) Quality and Risk Management Unit (UTM QRiM), Abdul Razib Shahuddin.
