UTM Signs Strategic MoU with APulsar at ICC2025

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has taken a significant step in strengthening academic-industry collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APulsar Technologies Sdn. Bhd. at the International Connectivity Conference & Expo (ICC2025), held in Kuala Lumpur.

The MoU was signed by Professor Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah Mat Darus, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International) of UTM, and Justin Kao, Managing Director of APulsar Technologies Sdn. Bhd. The signing was witnessed by Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Zaini Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UTM, and Ng Si Hui, Marketing Manager of APulsar Technologies.

This strategic partnership marks a major milestone in UTM’s mission to empower students and researchers with future-ready skills through collaboration with industry experts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah Mat Darus, emphasized the importance of strategic industry collaboration in enhancing the employability and technical competencies of UTM graduates.

“This partnership allows our students to experience real-world applications of AI and robotics and prepares them for global industrial challenges,” said Prof. Intan Zaurah.

APulsar’s Managing Director, Justin Kao, expressed enthusiasm about working with one of Malaysia’s top public universities to nurture innovation and drive forward the nation’s digital economy goals.
