Strengthening Global Ties: FSSH Welcomes Prominent UTM Alumnus Dr Rajeh Almasradi as Visiting Scholar

JOHOR BAHRU, July 15 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) proudly welcomed its esteemed alumnus, Associate Professor Dr. Rajeh Bati Almasradi, from the University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia, for an academic visit as a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH).

Dr. Rajeh currently serves as the President’s Counsellor for Investment and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bisha. He is also an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Business. Previously, he has held the positions of Deputy Dean of the College and Secretary of the Scientific Council.

Dr. Rajeh is a proud PhD alumnus of UTM, having completed his doctoral studies in Management (Organisational Behaviour) under the supervision of Professor Dr. Siti Aisyah Panatik, a leading academic in the field of Industrial and Organisational Psychology. His visit to FSSH reflects UTM’s commitment to strengthening strategic academic linkages with global alumni, as outlined in its Strategic Plan – Strategic Thrust 4: Global Eminence through Alumni Engagement.

“We are honoured to welcome Dr. Rajeh back to UTM, not only as a respected scholar but also as a member of our global alumni family. His professional journey exemplifies the excellence of UTM education and the global impact of our graduates,” said Prof. Dr. Siti Aisyah Panatik, Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affairs) at FSSH.

During his visit, Dr. Rajeh engaged in academic discussions with UTM scholars, explored potential collaborative research initiatives, and shared insights on leadership, organisational behaviour, and innovation in entrepreneurship. This visit aligns with Strategic Thrust 3: Strategic and High-Impact Network, as it reinforces international collaborations and creates new opportunities for institutional growth. Dr. Rajeh’s areas of academic interest include Leadership and Personality in Organisations, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Human Resource Management, and Marketing and Tourism.

Throughout his academic career, he has participated in numerous workshops, conferences, and leadership training programs, further advancing knowledge in both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.

“My return to UTM is not only a homecoming but also an opportunity to give back to the university that shaped my academic and professional journey. I am committed to fostering further collaborations between UTM and the University of Bisha,” Dr. Rajeh shared during his visit.

This visit is part of FSSH’s broader effort to leverage alumni expertise to enhance academic excellence, promote global partnerships, and support the vision of becoming a globally renowned university rooted in innovation, leadership, and impactful scholarship.
