UTM and KEO Sign MoU to Strengthen Strategic Collaboration

JOHOR BAHRU, Apr 7 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Guangzhou KEO Information Technology Co., Ltd. (KEO) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their strategic partnership in the areas of artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital management technology, and conference management. UTM was represented by Prof. Dr. Rosli Md Illias, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, while KEO was represented by Dr. Liu Guoxing, the Chairman. The signing ceremony occurred at the Sultan Ibrahim Chancellery Building at UTM, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between academia and the global technology industry.

In collaboration with the Academic Exchange Information Centre (AEIC), KEO has played a significant role in partnering with UTM to organize several impactful international conferences. A notable example is the 4th International Conference on Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and the Digital Economy (CSAIDE), scheduled for March 8, 2025, at the Faculty of Computing, UTM. This event will bring together leading experts from around the world and is expected to foster groundbreaking research collaborations.

Its goals include launching joint research projects in artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, developing advanced digital management technologies, and continuing to host high-impact conferences that encourage global networking and innovation.

In addition to this strategic partnership, we officially launched the UTM-KEO IT Satellite Lab at the Faculty of Computing. This satellite lab, also known as the AiScholar Malaysia Operations Center, reflects the commitment of both UTM and KEO to advancing knowledge and expertise, especially in artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital management technology, and conference management.
