‘Online Global Classroom’ An Event Organized by Combination of 3 Universities from Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand

Thank you to all the participants that have attended the ‘Online Global Classroom’ (OGC) organised by Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics (FTIR), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with Institut Informatika dan Bisnis (IIB) Darmajaya, Indonesia and Silpakorn University (SU), Thailand on Wednesday, 5th October 2022, from 9.00 am to 1:00 pm (MYT).

The session was conducted via Webex live from Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand and was officiated by the Assistant Dean of FTIR (Continuing and Transnational Education), Dr. Rozaimi Che Hasan. This four hours session was filled with exciting topics and quick online quizzes for the participants. FTIR OGC 2022 was divided into three lecture sessions. Renowned speakers from UTM and two other universities from ASEAN were invited to deliver a lecture. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Uzairiah from UTM presented in the first session with a topic ‘PhD Journey-Spiritual & Emotional Strength’. She shared her own PhD Journey and gave some advices to the participants.

Dr. Joko Triloka, the second speaker from IIB Darmajaya, Indonesia delivered a lecture on artificial intelligence with a topic ‘Why Multi-Agent System will Make AI Better’ and the third lecture was given by Dr. Waralak Siricharoen from Silpakorn University, Thailand. Her topic was ‘Can Gaming be the Bad Escapism’.

A total of seventy-eight participants from UTM, IIB and Silpakorn University attended this program through Webex online webinar or watched FTIR Facebook live. In between sessions, participants were entertained with Kahoot quiz game.

It is hoped that all participants had benefitted from the programme and had the networking opportunity with participating universities, and those already networked will strengthen and expand further.
