Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer, UNiversiti Teknologi Malaysia (PERSAKA UTM) has organized Majlis Khatam Quran IPT 2022 on 27th April 2022.
This program was organized to enliven the month of Ramadan and establish a synergistic relationship between PERSAKA UTM club and other Islamic university clubs in Malaysia.
Apart from that, it is also to ensure that Muslims read the Quran in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan, which is only celebrated once a year. The program is also to develop an excellent ummah and encourage students and the community to read the Quran and make it as a routine throughout the month of Ramadan.
The program was held online through Webex platform and a live broadcast on PERSAKA Club Facebook. During the opening, it was officiated by the Advisor of PERSAKA UTM, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Tariq bin Idris while the closing was officiated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Shamsul bin Sahibuddin.
In addition, the organizers also invited a religious speaker, Ustaz Panji Alam bin Mazhisham, to deliver a talk during the closing ceremony.
Majlis Khatam Quran was attended by 6 universities. Among the universities involved are Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur branch, Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Selangor International Islamic University College (KUIS) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Tapah.
This program left a deep impact on all participants, including the program committee because by organizing this program, we do not only liven up the month of Ramadan by increasing the reading of the Quran, but also strengthen the relationship between universities in Malaysia.
All in all, programs like this should be done and continued because it brings benefits to all 78 participants who joined the program.
