Faculty of Engineering, UTM has successfully hosted the 4th International Conference on Electrical, Electronic, Control and Communication (ICEECC 2019) held from 24 to 25 November 2019 (Sunday – Monday) at Hatten Hotel, Melaka.The objective of this conference is to provide an international platform for researchers, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to share the findings from latest research and developments . This conference delved into current technologies- related challenges while providing the participants with a unique platform to discuss ideas in various field.
The conference was rich and varied with several tracks that have been poised for this year’s conference, namely Electric Power Engineering, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Control and Mechatronic Engineering and Communication Engineering. A total of 227 papers was submitted to this conference, and after the review process, 164 papers were accepted.This contributed to 72% acceptance rate. The accepted papers were not only from Malaysia, but also fromNigeria, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa, France, Saudi Arabia, USA, Iraq, Italy, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Cyprus, China, Sudan, Thailand, India, Japan, Vietnam, and Pakistan. From 164 accepted papers, 139 were presented orally during the event.
The conference Chair, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Kamal A. Rahim, mentioned that this was very auspicious occasion with the presence of the keynote speakers, Prof Dr Uda Hashim, Professor and also the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation in Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Perlis, Malaysia, Dr Ir Hafizal Mohamad, Senior Staff Researcher at Corporate Technology Division, MIMOS Berhad, Prof. Dr. Zulkurnain Abdul Malek, Professor and also the Director of UTM Institute of High Voltage & High Current (IVAT), UTM, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Prof. Dr. Haider Almurib from University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.
This exciting and beneficial event managed to provide vast opportunities in networking, as well as knowledge and ideas sharing for future collaborations. Award ceremony was also held during a special dinner to appreciate the participants’ attendance in the conference.
