Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Visits UTM Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 16 November 2018 – UTM welcomed Mr. Mazhar Mohsin Chinoy, Director of Office of Students Affairs, International Office from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to UTM Kuala Lumpur during his academic visit to several universities in Malaysia and UTM was his final destination before departure.

LUMS was established in 1985 and is currently the No.1 University in Pakistan. It has maintained its position as one of the finest institutes offering executive education in Pakistan. LUMS houses five schools; the Suleman Dawood School of Business, the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering, the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law and the School of Education offering a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate degrees. LUMS also has (6) Research Centres namely Centre for Water Informatics and Technology (WIT), Centre for Islamic Finance, Gurmani Centre for Languages and Literature, Social Enterprise Development Centre, Saida Waheed Gender Initiative and Mahbub Ul Haq Research Centre.

In a joint discussion, UTM and LUMS agreed to start the cooperation through staff and student exchange and LoC will be signed between the two universities. The meeting suggested AHIBS to be the owner of this LoC.

It is hoped that this cooperation will be successful and UTM is looking forward to have more university partners from Pakistan.
