Food and Biomaterial Engineering Research Group (FoBERG) is a research group led by Professor Dr Ida Idayu under the Department of Bioprocess and Polymer, Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, UTM. FoBERG was established in 2010 with a team of active postgraduates and UTM staff.

FoBERG specializes on:
⚙ Food Processing and Food Rheology.
⚙ Food component and its functionality.
⚙ Safety and quality of food.
⚙ Biopolymer.
⚙ Biomaterials.

As a platform to commercialized successful innovations following extensive research from students and researchers, FoBERG had launched FOBERG R&D Cafe that serves nutritious and healthy meals for everyone.

FoBERG also invites innovations in food and biomaterials products to be commercialized in the cafe.

FOBERG R&D Cafe is OPEN every Monday to Thursday.
