JOHOR BAHRU, 27 March 2017 – Four architecture students from Faculty of Bulit Environment, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) became the main winners in the PAM ZSR Architecture Prize 2016.
Undergraduates Rashidah Jimi Sham and Yap Shook Yen brought home RM3,000 each, while, postgraduates Lam Chee Hau and Phuah Chu Yin won the LAM Part 2 category and brought home RM5,000 each.

Undergraduate Yeow Yann Herng and postgraduate Geraldine Teoh Pei Lynn won RM500 and RM1000 respectively as the 3rd finalist in each category.

They received the prizes at the award ceremony held at the New PAM Centre in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur on Thursday 9 March 2017.

The were selected after a stringent process of selection by well-known professional architects and Human Resource Managers as the panel of jurors from renowned organizations.

Rashidah was supervised by lecturer Yusri Md. Ripin, Yap Shook Yen by Assoc. Prof Dr. Mahmud Mohd. Jusan, Lam Chee Hau by Assoc. Prof Dr. Dilshan Remaz, Phuah Chu Yin by Dr Khairul Anwar Mohd. Khaidzir, Yeow Yann Herng by Dr. Doris Toe and Geraldine Teoh Pei Lynn by Ar Samsiah Abdullah.

There were more than 130 applicants from all schools of Architecture in Malaysia and 11 finalists for the LAM Part 1 category 3 were from UTM .
