JOHOR BAHRU, 22 October 2016 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) always emphasizes personal development of each student through the organization of various gradual development programmes such as personality development, leadership, entrepreneurship, careers and many others.
All these are in line with the aspiration to produce balanced graduates as outlined in the UTM 2020 Global Plan which clearly states that the study should be more fresh, comprehensive and integrated.
UTM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid Omar said in his opening speech at the 57th Convocation Festival (Fesko) said it was the government’s intention to produce human capital that is not only knowledgeable and skilled but can be useful assets for the nation in the future.
The 57th Fesko launching session was officiated by Her Royal Highness (HRH) the Chancellor of UTM, Raja Zarith Sofia Sultan Idris Shah. Also attending the ceremony were the two Pro-Chancellors, Tan Sri Dr. Salleh Mohd. Nor and Tan Sri Dato ‘Dr. Lin See Yan and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali.
