KUALA LUMPUR, 6 August 2015 – A team from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) won the ‘Best of the Best’ award at the Innovative Practices in Higher Education Expo (I-PHEX) 2015 held at UTM Kuala Lumpur.
At the one day event that was held at the UTM Main Hall, a team of researchers comprising Dr. Aziatul Niza Sadikin, Dr. Azizul Azri Mustaffa, Dr. Zaki Yamani Zakaria, Azmahani Abdul Aziz, Dr. Mohd Kamaruddin Abdul Hamid, Dr. Mimi Haryani Hassim and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatin Aliah Phang, and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khairiyah Mohd Yusof won the award through their innovation titled “Integrated Course Design for Supporting Contextual Learning among First Year Engineering Students”.
The entry is a collaborative team effort involving academic staff from the Centre for Engineering Education, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Education.
Other UTM researchers also show their mettle at the competition by winning the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
