JOHOR BAHRU, 30 March 2015 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and BMW Asia Technology Centre Sdn. Bhd. to allow joint development of academic-industry teaching and learning opportunities.
With the signing of this agreement, the two parties have agreed that UTM students and staff will have the privilege to attend two to seven days of BMW certified courses at the BMW Asia Technology Centre headquarters in Port Tanjung Pelepas.
The signing of this agreement also provides students with the opportunity to attend lectures conducted by BMW experts in logistics and supply chain management. This is in addition to UTM students becoming interns at  BMW Asia Technology Sdn Bhd.
Collaboration between both parties was timely as both institutions acknowledge the importance of cooperation through activities in teaching, learning and training.
With its emphasis on in-demand industrial skills and hands-on practice, this program training will provide UTM students and staff with the required skills and knowledge in logistics, warehousing and international business.
