Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has made a significant step by developing a research consortium, TRANSROYAL, which comprised several public and private universities. The research consortium aims to promote high impact research initiatives at the Belum-Temenggor Forest Complex (BTFC), Gerik Perak.
As one of the research universities in Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has taken the lead in addressing the local, national and global issues in BTFC. TRANSROYAL provides a dynamic platform for premier trans-, inter-, and multi-disciplinary research to scientifically explore the most advanced technologies, recent innovations and problem based solutions related to terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem in support of resource management, sustainable development and climate change studies.
A National Conference on Royal Belum 2014 will be held from 9 to 10 December 2014, at Banding Lakeside Inn, Gerik, Perak.
