JOHOR BAHRU, August 7 – Representatives from 7 Centres of Responsibility (PTJs) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) attended a Risk Mitigation Action Plan Coordination Workshop (RiMAP) organized by the Quality and Risk Management Division (QRiM).

The workshop was held at the Banquet Hall, Sultan Ibrahim Chancellery Building and was officiated by the Director of QRiM, Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Haji Ismail.

Programme Coordinator, Norhaida Hamdan said the main objective of the programme was to obtain information on the status of Risk Mitigation action plans from every concerned PTJs.

“Apart from presenting their respective risk mitigation action plans, each PTJ was also required to report on its risk management endevours for the purpose of evaluation by QRiM. This is to ensure that the endeavours are in tandem with the objectives of QRiM’s establishment.

“It is important for us to re-evaluate each plan outlined so that any risks that arise in the future can be minimized or avoided for the benefit of all,” she said.

The PTJ involved were Pejabat Harta Bina (PHB), Center for Information and Communication Technology (CICT), Office of the Registrar, Office of the Bursar, School of Graduate Studies (SPS), the Office of Student Affairs (HEMA) and UTM International.

Norhaida added that the same workshop will be held on September 10th 2014, involving four other PTJs namely Research Management Center (RMC), the Office of Corporate Affairs (HEK), Innovation Commercialization Center (ICC) and the UTM Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (UTMTEC).
