The Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) made a significant impression at the recent Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Japan, organized by Global Hub Co., Ltd. The event, which took place in Osaka and Tokyo, aimed to showcase the university’s diverse range of programs to Japanese high school students and prospective university candidates.
The fair served as a platform for UTM-MJIIT to showcase its diverse academic offerings. Attendees received an informative overview of the university’s programs, including general courses and specialized programs provided by MJIIT. The primary aim was to attract final-year high school students who will be graduating in March 2025, as well as students from technical high schools (KOSEN).
The primary goal of attending the fair was to increase UTM-MJIIT’s visibility among Japanese students and their parents. By participating in this event, the university aimed to attract more international students from Japan and build stronger connections with educational institutions in the country.
The fair was a notable success, drawing over 150 participants in Osaka and more than 300 in Tokyo. While most attendees were high school students, the event also garnered interest from teachers looking for collaboration opportunities for short visits and mobility programs.
UTM-MJIIT’s participation in the Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Japan generated significant interest from potential students. Over 10 participants expressed interest in applying to the university, with inquiries regarding short-term inbound programs and postgraduate studies.
This event marked an important milestone for UTM-MJIIT, highlighting the university’s academic excellence and setting the stage for future collaborations with Japanese educational institutions. As UTM-MJIIT continues to expand its global reach, the success of the fair positively impacts the university’s internationalization efforts.
