UTM Researchers Won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal from SIIF2016

• Gold Prize for LOCKBLOCK ( Multi-Functional, Green Interlocking Mortar-Less Concrete Block ) Project leader: Dr. Mohammadamin Azimi (FAB)
LOCKBLOCK, is a multi-functional green interlocking mortar-less concrete block with the aims of increase of construction productivity, reduction in construction duration and labour and reduced construction cost. LOCKBLOCK’s special design provide it, self-alignment facilitated by the interlocking features in both vertical and horizontal directions.
• Gold Prize for i-EISMS ( Intelligent Executive Information Site Monitoring System) Project Leader: Prof. Dr. Muhd Zaimi Abd Majid (FKA)
i-EISMS (Intelligent Executive Information Site Monitoring System) is a computerized information system used by top management to evaluate the construction progress, which aids them to monitor the construction site progress more efficiently and helps in taking timely appropriate action.
• Silver Prize for PFS ( Innovative Modular Pad Footing System) Project Leader: Prof. Dr. Ir. Mahmood Md. Tahir (FKA)
PFS (PAD FOOTING SYSTEM) is a sustainable modular element which is formed by using cold-formed steel sections both for outer panel and as main reinforcement.
