JOHOR BAHRU, 31 May 2016 – Research Management Centre (RMC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has been announced as the winner of the Vice Chancellor Innovation Award (AINC) in Citra Karisma 2016 ceremony that took place in Dewan Sultan Iskandar Main Hall, Johor Bahru campus.
The victory was earned through Research and Development Information System Portal (RADIS), a major UTM research management application in assisting research management at RMC. This portal contains grant information, researchers and research activities including publications and human capital.
This innovation is extremely important and critical to deliver effective research activities through efficient and systematic work processes.
RADIS has also gained national recognition by winning 2015 Financial Management Innovation Award organized by the Public Administration Unit, Prime Minister’s Department (MAMPU).
Prizes were received by the Dean of the RMC, Prof. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim in the form of RM 12,000.00 cash and a winning trophy.
Besides AINC, there were also several other awards given namely the Community Service Award, Industrial Involvement Award, Sports Award, Occupational Safety & Health Award, Academic Advisor Award, Consultation, Teaching Award, Research Award, Inventor Award, Publishing, Information Technology Award, Quality Award, Publication Award, Academic Award and Distinguished Service Award.
All awards were presented by the Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of UTM, Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali.
