The experimental Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) plant, which is being jointly developed by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with support from Saga University of Japan, is the first of its kind in the Southeast Asian region.
