3rd International Seminar on Aeronautics and Energy (ISAE 2023)

 

Kuala Lumpur, October 25, 2023 – The 3rd International Seminar on Aeronautics and Energy (ISAE 2023) was a highly successful event that made significant progress in promoting the aeronautics and energy sectors, both regionally and globally. The seminar was held on October 25, 2023, at the Grand Petra 2, UTM Residensi, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur. It was organized by UTM Aerolab with support from City University Malaysia and Aerospace Society Malaysia. The event coincided with the UTM Nexus Expo 2023, organized by the Department of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), further enhancing its impact and outreach.

The opening ceremony of ISAE 2023 was graced by Prof. Dr. Rosli bin Md Illias, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) of UTM. The Conference Chairman, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Shabudin bin Mat highlighted the remarkable growth in the aeronautics and energy sectors, underscoring their pivotal role in today’s evolving landscape. The conference was designed to be a platform for dialogue and initiatives to promote sustainable development in these industries. Over 80 distinguished attendees, including educators, seasoned researchers, innovative engineers, and industry professionals, gathered to share their expertise and insights.

Industry experts, researchers, and visionaries gave keynote addresses that enhanced the seminar. These speeches offered valuable perspectives on the current state and future possibilities in aviation and aerospace. The keynote speakers addressed various crucial topics, from the challenges faced by ASEAN aviation and aerospace to the potential for sustainable aerospace development. Their insights left a lasting impact on the future of these vital sectors.

Beyond knowledge sharing, ISAE 2023 also made significant strides in forging partnerships. A pivotal collaboration was established between UTM and notable entities, including TUSAS Malaysia (Turkish Aerospace Malaysia), NAICO Malaysia (National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia), and CTIS (Center for Technology and Innovation Studies, Indonesia). This landmark collaboration paves the way for future research initiatives, innovation endeavours, and knowledge exchange.
