This year’s Cyberlympics 2023 (CL’23) were held at the Faculty of Computing from the 18th to the 21st of January 2023. It was an annual sports event for the Faculty of Computing organised by Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer (PERSAKA) to encourage student participation in sports. This event allows students from various courses and years of study to meet and compete with one another.

There are both virtual and physical games in this programme. The students participated in fun tournaments and relay races which were unique and memorable for everyone. Valorant and Mobile Legends are two E-sport games which are suitable to be played indoor while outdoor games are activities which need participate to move around and sweat a lot like playing badminton, Frisbee, Penalty Kick, Cyberlympic 6000 step run, Random Play Dance, and so on. This event allows students from various courses and years of study to meet and compete with one another.

The E-sports event for Mobile Legend was managed by the crew of the activities involving 6 teams at the online platform, PERSAKA FACEBOOK Live, kicked off on the first and second day of CL’20. Thereafter, on 20th January 2023, badminton and other indoor and outdoor events were conducted at Dewan Serbaguna, Kolej Tun Dr Ismail. The outdoor activity began with the Cyberlympic 6000-step run and required a completion of 6 checkpoints.

Frisbee and penalty kicks were played in Padang Bola, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and an e-sport game called Valorant with six teams was played later that night. CL’23 concluded the event with aerobics, Random Play Dance, and a relay race match between the participants on the final day. The closing ceremony was the highlight event. The ceremony was enlivened by the awarding of prizes, which took place at Kejora Hall, N28a, Faculty of Computing.

The Faculty of Computing recently concluded a successful week of sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and memorable moments. The Chair of the faculty expressed gratitude to all the students who participated and the organizing committee for their cooperation and support. The Chair also encouraged everyone to continue embodying the spirit of sportsmanship.
