Syed Ahmad Huzaimi Syed Mazlan, a fourth year student of Bachelor in Education with Technology (Living Skills), School of Education, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the International Education Seminar on the topic ‘Future Teacher Readiness Towards Industrial Revolution 4.0’. The seminar was organized by Ikatan Mahasiswa Pendidikan, Universiti Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia on October 26th 2019.

With the tagline “Let’s becoming prospective teachers who are productive and ready to compete in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0”, the seminar aimed to give a picture about the challenges that future teachers will face in Industrial Revolution 4.0. This seminar was also intended to prepare pre-service teachers to become competent and global minded in educational field.

The speakers for this seminar were Diah Ayuk Tri Sutaji representing national speaker; Muhammad Su’aidi Firdaus representing regional speaker; and Syed Ahmad Huzaimi representing international speaker. Syed Ahmad Huzaimi was invited to share his experience while participating in a teaching practicum at Montague High School, United States of America last March. He also shared his view on how to be a great future teacher and what attributes that  a teacher must possess in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. He gave strong emphasis about the usage of technology, the 21st century learning, diversity and global competence. Appreciation goes to Dr. Mohd Rustam and Dr. Nur Husna from School of Education (SOE) for being the moderator for this collaboration. Syed Huzaimi believed that giving opportunity for students to participate in international programs can increase their confidence level and increase global competence among students.
