JOHOR BAHRU, 22 November 2017 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has been awarded 5 Stars Overall Rating in QS Star Rating 2017.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), Professor Dr. Nordin Yahaya has represented UTM to received the certificate from the CEO of QS Asia Quacquarelli Symonds Pte Ltd, Ms. Mandy Mok at 13th QS APPLE  in Taichung, Taiwan from 22-24 November 2017.

UTM has been ranked 5 Stars for its Teaching; Internationalization; Facilities; Innovation; Inclusiveness; and Chemical Engineering (Narrow Subject Area Rankings) and 4 stars for Employability and Research.

According to QS Stars University Ratings,  universities are evaluated in dozens of indicators across at least eight categories. After the assessment, universities are awarded with an overall Star result which ranges from 0 to 5+ Stars, depending on the number of points achieved through the evaluation.

QS Stars is a rating system that provides a detailed look at an institution, enabling you to identify which universities are the best in the specific topics that you care about, like program strength, facilities, graduate employability, social responsibility, inclusiveness, and more.
