Career Carnival ‘Profession Fair 2016’ organized by JURUTEKUTM help students and residents get jobs

JOHOR BAHRU, 22 May 2016 – The Association of Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (JURUTEK) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with the UTM Career Centre has organized a Career Carnival programme ‘Profession Fair 2016’ at the UTM square.
The main goal of the programme was to provide employment to students and residents around UTM Johor Bahru to get jobs provided.
In addition, this program also gives exposure to a group of first-year and second-year students on the scope of work and also the latest requirements needed in industrial employment.
The closing ceremony of the programme which lasted for two days from May 21st 2016 was merged with another programme, “Kembara Kerjaya 3.0” organized by the Johor State Government and was officiated by the Chairman of the Committee on Unity and Human Resources of the State of Johor, the Honourable Vidyananthan A / L Ramanadhan.
The programme was run entirely on the initiative and efforts of students JURUTEK chaired by Jeevaniswaran Thangaraj with the active participation of 40 students from the same department.
A total of 40 companies from inside and outside of Johor were invited to ensure the success of this programme.
Also present during the closing ceremony was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Prof. Datuk Dr. Ismail Abd. Aziz and the State Assemblyman for Kempas, the Honourable Datuk Tengku Putra Haron Aminnurashid Tan Sri Tengku Abdul Hamid Jumat.
