JOHOR BAHRU, 20 March 2016 – A total of 100 Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) students will benefit from the UTM Student Representative Council (MPM) Food Assistance Scheme.

The scheme  was launched by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Ismail Abd. Aziz.

MPM UTM president, Mohammed Zuhaili Muhammad Aminuddin said that assistance in the form of food and drinks worth RM5.00 a day, will be made available to eligible selected students throughout the 2015/2016 academic session.

Participating cafeteria operators have already been given a list of student names who will benefit from the scheme.

The main objective of this scheme is to ease the burden of students from low-income families (household income below RM3, 000.00 per month)
