JOHOR BAHRU, 15 March 2016 – the Faculty of Biosciences and Medical Engineering of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (FBMEUTM) organized the FBME Innovation Day 2016 to showcase Research and Development products of the faculty.
This one-day event was held at Block V01 of FBME’s Main building and was launched by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Jasmy Yunus.
Programme Director, Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek said that FBME Innovation Day 2016 was a new multi-disciplinary platform for knowledge and inspiration sharing in the field of biosciences, medical engineering and beyond.
“This event aimed at promoting our innovative products and services in the field of biosciences and medical engineering. It is also an effective platform to connect our research experts with potential collaborators in any possible areas such as commercialization and others,” he said.
The targeted visitors include industrial representatives, R&D organizations, academicians, students, government agencies and local community.
“We believe that our visitors will gain insights into current innovation in the field of biosciences and medical engineering. Besides, they also have the opportunity to meet and discuss with other leading experts in the field,” said Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek.
Besides research product exhibition, the one-day event also included several other activities such as InnoPitch Session, Interactive Games, Innovation Competition and Innovation Talks by Uncle ‘Bugs’ Tan and platinum sponsors.
