JOHOR BAHRU, 6 May 2015 – A Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) student, Norezzayana Rohaizat was announced as the recipient of the Environmental System Research Institute (ESRI) Young Scholars Award 2015.
Her winning project entitled ‘Engaging students via ArcGIS Mobile Data Collector in Sustainable Green Campus Campaign’ has been developed to help create a healthy living environment and sustainable icon for Iskandar Malaysia.
As the recipient of the award, Norezzayana will receive an all-access pass to the world’s biggest spatial event – the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, California which will be held from 20 – 24 July 2015.
There, her work will be displayed alongside other international Young Scholars winners, and she will get the chance to meet Jack Dangermond – ESRI founder and president.
Currently Norezzayana is a second year Geoinformatics student at Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate, UTM. She will be receiving this award at the ESRI International User Conference which will be held in San Diego, California in July 2015.
