SEOUL, 30 November 2014 – The Civil Engineering Team led by Prof. Ir. Dr. Warid Hussin has successfully bagged the Special Prize of the Korea Federation Award together with Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals at the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2014.
The Special Prize of the Korea Federation and the Gold Medal were awarded to UTM’s entry on Bio-Polycrete, while the Silver Medal and Bronze Medal were awarded to UTM’s innovation on Palm Eco-Crete and Eco Green Brick respectively.
The fair, held at Hall A, COEX, Gangnam-Gu, Samseong-Dong, Seoul, Korea, aims to provide inventors from all over the world with comprehensive information on the commercialization of inventions, patent information, and technology transfer.
SIIF 2014 was organized by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), a special corporation established under the provision of the Invention Promotion Act. It is the only organization in Korea that promotes such invention activities since 1973.
