Dr Mimi Haryani Hassim, a senior lecturer from Faculty of Chemical Engineering, UTM has been selected as the winner of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) – Excellent Leadership Award 1435H (2014).
She is one of the 13 winners (under Merit category) from 10 different countries all over the world. Among the 13 winners, only three are females and she is the only winner from Malaysia.
The award is awarded by the IDB management through global competition to those who have played a leading role in contributing to the scientific and social development of their respective countries in fulfillment of their commitment to the IDB scholarship they have availed.
The award winners will be invited to visit the IDB HQ marking the award and have the following privileges:
• Economy class round-trip air-ticket between home country and Jeddah;
• Full-board in hotels for 7 nights in Jeddah/Madinah/Makkah;
• Attend 3-day Management Development Programme in the IDB HQ.
