Due to the current aggression in the Gaza strip, many university students have lost their homes and families, in addition to being displaced, injured and psychologically affected by the Israeli attacks. Despite this onslaught, they still aspire to continue their higher education and achieve their ambitions for a better life and future. However, most of the students are unable to cover the costs of their studies in light of the deteriorating economic situation in Gaza and losing the source of income for their families. Thus, there is an urgent need to assist these students. Assistance provided will not only sustain the higher education system in Palestine, but it would also support the temporary recovery plan of the people in Gaza.
Therefore, the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), which has also been targeted by the Israeli airstrikes, is launching an appeal to support these needy students to enable them to continue their education.
