The Ranking Web of Repositories has positioned UTM-Institutional Repository (http://eprints.utm.my/) in first place among Malaysian web institutional repositories, while The Ranking Web of Universities ranked UTM at the top of the ladder. It is indeed a double victory for UTM!
The Ranking Web of Repositories and The Ranking Web of Universities are both the initiatives of Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.
The aim of these rankings is to support Open Access initiatives which promotes free access to scientific and academic publications in an electronic form.
