It is our pleasure to inform you that the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning (Pusat Penataran Ilmu dan Bahasa) in Universiti Malaysia Sabah is organising the inaugural
National Conference on Religion and Society (Persidangan Kebangsaan Agama dan Masyarakat) this year. In conjunction with this forthcoming conference, we would like to extend our invitation call for paper(s) from your organisation.
The conference will be held at the Auditorium in our UMS Library in Kota Kinabalu from 31 October to 1 November 2012. We aim to bring together experts and practitioners in academia, industry, public and private sectors to share and present their latest findings pertaining to religion and society. The Organising Committee invites proposals for individual presentations related to the following themes:
(i) Comparative Religion
(ii) Language and Religion
(iii) Culture and Religion
(iv) Gender and Religion
(v) Family and Religion
(vi) Economics and Religion
(vii) Religion and Schools of Thought
(viii) Politics and Religion
(ix) Science, Technology and Religion
(x) Law and Religion
(xi) Ethics, Philosophy and Religion
(xii) Media and Religion
(xiii) Education and Religion
(xiv) Literature and Religion
The important dates related to this conference are given below:
(i) Deadline for the submission of abstracts: 30 June 2012
(ii) Date of the notification of acceptance: 12 July 2012
(iii) Deadline for the submission of full papers: 31 August 2012
Registration fees for presenters/participants are given as follows:
(i) Early Bird Registration Fee: RM 300 (until 1 September 2012)
(ii) Standard/Normal Registration Fee: RM 350
(iii) Student Registration Fee: RM 150
